ABOUT BILLY MOLLS

Billy Molls was born in 1977 and raised on a Wisconsin dairy farm. Trapping with his father and grandfather sparked a fascination of nature and a craving for adventure.

One day while skinning a beaver pelt, Billy’s grandpa said to him, “If you want adventure Alaska’s the place you need to go; there’s places man’s never been, and animals that’ve never seen a human.” From that moment, Billy knew he needed to experience the Alaskan wilderness for himself. His goal was to become an Alaska hunting guide.

After graduating high school in 1996, Billy worked 80+ hours a week at a cheese factory to buy a truck, gear, and pay tuition to attend a guide school in Montana. His first job in the hunting industry was as a packer/wrangler in the Frank Church River of No Return Wilderness in Idaho.

Billy loved the experience, but Alaska was still calling. The following winter he emailed, called, and sent hand-written letters to every Alaska hunting outfitter he could find. He told his future boss, “I’m willing to do whatever it takes to become an Alaska hunting guide. Just give me a chance. If I’m not worth it, you don’t have to pay me.” READ MORE
